A lot has changed in the world this year alone. Unfortunately the year 2020 will resonate among us throughout history as a year of absolute standstill due to a worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. It's been a year of reflection and a year to truly appreciate what matters in life. It's definitely been a challenging year for many of us, but I did not let this pandemic ruin my perspective and goals this year.
Not only did the world change this year, but many changes happened for me as well. In December of 2019 I got engaged to an amazing man and we looked at 2020 with such excitement as we planned our wedding. Then COVID happened. 🤦 Everything was planned and paid for by February. From wedding venue, to photographer, to even the 3 honeymoon destinations we had planned. Unfortunately, everything had to change and we replanned our wedding about 3494702891238 times in a matter of 4 months all the way up to the day of the event. It was disappointing that I had to cancel our venue and not allow my friends and family to join us in our celebrations but it turned out to be an amazing wedding we will both remember for the rest of our lives. We were limited to 10 people and we did it at my aunt's backyard down in Miami, FL. It was a beautiful tropical garden by the lake. My theme was blue, green, and nature. All decor, including the cake and the bouquet, were done by my aunt. I never thought I would be married outside in June while in Miami. Thankfully we survived the heat (it wasn't too bad with the overcast skies) and it was the one and only day that never rained the entire week. Clearly someone was looking out for us that day 🙏. For the friends and family who follow me on my personal instagram, I know many of you enjoyed the many photos and stories that I posted from the event. I'm slowly working on the wedding video.

So with a new wedding and marriage comes many changes. I lived in Chicago for 2 years and now it was time to settle down with my husband so we decided to move up to Wisconsin. Don't ask me how a Miami girl like myself who loves the city somehow ended up in Wisconsin. I still ponder over this question daily lol. Thankfully everything has worked out and we even bought our very first home together! 🏡 So lots of exciting changes and adventures have happened for us this year and I now have a lifetime partner I can do traveling adventures with. Despite the pandemic, we have already enjoyed some explorations around the midwest and I will be posting about these adventures very soon.
